When is the first day of Seminary? Where is it?
Starting on Auguts 26, 2024 from 5:45am to 6:40am on school days MON - THURSDAY at the De Paoli Residence, 5772 Bencrest Way. (that's right no seminary on Fridays)
What is the purpose of seminary?
Ultimately, the purpose of seminary is to help students understand and rely upon the teachings and Atonement of Jesus Christ, qualify for the blessings of the temple, and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with their Father in Heaven.
What are we studying this year?
We are aligned with Come Follow Me so we will be continuing through the Book Of Mormon until the end of the year and then starting the Doctrine and Covenants

Important Reminders for Parents
Parents have the primary responsibility to teach their children the gospel of Jesus Christ; and to answer their doctrinal questions. Church leaders assist parents in this responsibility. Seminary teachers primarily assist parents by teaching students the gospel of Jesus Christ as found in the scriptures and the words of the prophets, emphasizing the doctrinal importance of the family and the high priority that family members and family activities deserve.
NO SEMINARY ON FRIDAYS
We are updating the schedule this year. We will be having seminary only MONDAY through THURSDAY and starting at 5:45 to meet seminary requirements. We want to work hard to learn a lot this year and take a rest on Friday.
It is super important that your youth memorize the key phrases and references for the doctrinal mastery scriptures. Please, encourage them to do it and memorize with them.
Attendance
At least 75% needed to receive credit. It is also really important that your youth are on time for lessons every day. If late, minutes will be added up until 50 and youth will need to do a makeup lesson for those. They also need to stay above 75% all semester and are able to do makeup lessons as needed. (make up direction to come)
